With no plan, but a lovely day to ride in, three riders (nearly 4, but Lyn succumbed to the temptation of an afternoon snooze in the sun!) tried out the new Marmalade Coffee Shop in Wantage (very good - worth a revisit) and headed off vaguely "towards Filkins".

Out through Shrivenham and then into uncharted territory on the outskirts of Swindon to avoid Highworth, not for any particular reason though. A brief stop in Hannington to cure Nicks creaking bike (re-seated front wheel in dropouts) and we dropped down to Kemppsford and past RAF Fairford where there were a few plane-spotter types loitering - a quick search online showed they were waiting for the return of a USAF B1 bomber (looks a bit like Concorde).

The third coffee stop of the day was at the Riverside complex in Lechlade, at the Tea Chest - also recommended for the ice-creams.

Legs were starting to tire somewhat, so big thanks to Dave for a good and spirited turn on the front, dragging Nick and me along. The climb up to Littleworth made itself felt, but it was all (mostly) downhill from there back to Wantage.

Very enjoyable afternoon and a warm Corallian welcome to Dave!
