Just two of us for one of the coldest rides I've ever done. We kept up a good pace throughout but both failed to warm our toes, and when we got back my GPS indicated a minimum of -4degC and an average of -3degC. Fortunately neither of us had a puncture - that would have been grim. The ride alternated between clear, starlit conditions and thick banks of fog, quite surreal at times. It was an enjoyable ride but at the end neither of us opted for the pub, preferring instead to return home to de-frost. Thanks Dave for your good company.
