Unfortunately, the recent unseasonal warm dry spell has come to an end. Temperatures had dropped to 12C this morning and the forecast (accurate as it turned out) was for some heavy rain at lunchtime. This, and no doubt the long Audax ridden yesterday by some members, must have deterred everybody. To avoid a lonely ride and a soaking I switched from Chipping to Brize Norton for a shorter ride with a quick cafe stop at the Humble Bumble. I was going to suggest this option at the start anyway, but without any company it was an easy decision. It paid off big time as the heavens opened 5 minutes after I got through my front door.
