Third Sunday – An all-day ride starting away from Wantage, so you'll need to either ride or drive out to the start point. The ride will be Blue or Red grade and include lunch and maybe other refreshment stops. The ride should finish by 17:00 (or 30 minutes before sunset during winter months).

Hilly 94 km ride though the finest N Hants countryside - SE from Woolton Hill through Whitchurch to Alresford, returning via Overton and Kingsclere. Possible coffee stop at Whitchurch. Lunch at The Courtyard Tearooms in the delightful historic town of Alresford. Expect some potholed but quiet lanes and plenty of undulations, but also some fast straight sections particularly on the return leg. Mudguards highly desirable if it's wet.

Please let me know by text if you intend to come on the ride.

Winter Wednesday – An evening ride for two hours starting from Wantage, when weather conditions permit. The ride will be Blue grade and will be on the flatter and smoother lanes of the Vale. Good lights are required. May end with a refreshment stop in Wantage.

North again this week, but further! Into the deepest darkest depths of the Thames Valley.

We leave Wantage and head to Grove via Mill Street (the back way) and traverse the familiar roads through Denchworth, Lyford and up to the A420 at Kingstone Bagpuize. We go over the roundabout with caution to avoid getting squished and enjoy a nice bit of down hill to the River Thames, Standlake and Brighthampton. We then head down the dark quiet roads to Shifford, Cote and the great Brook Road. Avoid falling into the river at night, there be monsters there!

After we discuss the possibility of River Monsters we turn left at the T- junction and head toward Buckland hill (sorry about that). We then turn left into Buckland, over the A420 avoiding getting squished again and down to Gainfield, Charney, Denchworth, past the airplane on a stick in Grove and back to Wantage via mill street. 48 km (30 miles) with a bump in the middle and a visit to King Alfreds Head if you fancy some rum.

Winter Wednesday – An evening ride for two hours starting from Wantage, when weather conditions permit. The ride will be Blue grade and will be on the flatter and smoother lanes of the Vale. Good lights are required. May end with a refreshment stop in Wantage.

It's the last Wednesday ride of the month which means it's our monthly social down the pub. We will end the ride for drinkies, nibbles and a natter at the Fox at Denchworth.

A shorter route than normal tonight so we get to the Fox early enough to enjoy the ride and the evening.

Tonight's official route leaves Alfreds Statue at 7.00pm and we make our way to Grove via the A338. We then pass through Denchworth, Lyford, Fyfield, Netherton, Longworth, Hinton Waldrist, Pusey, Gainfield, Charney Bassett and the warm fires of the Fox at Denchworth. The ride will end here, so if you need to get back to Wantage you will need to make it back on your own but there's usually a few who ride back to Grove and Wantage after the pub. 38 km (24 miles)

A rerun of last December's 86km ride encircling Oxford with a refreshment stop at Mill View Garden Centre in Wheatley. A flatish ride with the only two lumps worthy of mention up to Elsfield and out of Wheatley.

Heading clockwise in a lap around Oxford via Cumnor, Wytham, Marston and Elsfield to Wheatley. Returning via Garsington, Radley, Abingdon and Steventon. Should be back in Wantage by 3pm.

Optional coffee stop in Wantage at the end of the ride. Lights would be a sensible option.

Out to Abingdon again this week with a different variation of the ride we did a few weeks ago to keep you stimulated mentally as well as physically. This will be a flat quickish ride. We will ride at a pace that is comfortable for the slowest rider and maintain a nice held together peloton.
Leaving the Great Kings statue in Wantage we head straight down the A338 and turn right into the Hanney Road to Steventon, Drayton, Abingdon, Shippon, Dry Sandford, Besselsleigh, Eaton, Netherton and Longworth. We then head south to Charney, Denchworth, Grove past the airplane on a stick and back into Wantage Market Place via Mill Street. 49 km (30 miles) To the pub if you dare afterwards.

NOTE LATER START TIME for the mass depart in Wantage Marketplace. We’ll keep this relatively simple, if lumpy, to maximize mince-pie eating time. Over Hackpen to Lambourn, over Kingstone Down to Ashbury, Dragon Hill, mince pies, home through Uffington, Kingston Lisle, Goosey, Denchworth and Grove. Blue ride pace throughout - all welcome - let's have a mass turnout in Corallian kit to publicise the Club!

The 7th Winter Wednesday Ride of the 2017/ 2018 season which means were going to do the previous 5 rides BACKWARDS!
Not all at once! (breathe) We will do each of the past 5 rides in reverse to add variation and basically ride a completely different route.
This week we'll do a reversed route of the first Winter Wednesday ride ridden on the 1st of November through the flat lands of the Vale.

Leaving Wantage Market Place we head to Grove via Mill Street and the airplane on a stick, Denchworth Charney Bassett, Gainfield, Hatford, Shellingford, Fernham, Longcot, up Majors Road to Watchfield, Shrivenham, back down the Longcot Road. We turn right to Uffington paying respect to the spot under the railway bridge where I crashed and killed my bike back in the summer. Through Uffington, Baulking and then the A417 all the way back to Wantage. 48 km (30 miles) without a hill to speak of apart from the one at the end going through Challow which is dinky really. :)
