A cold start and intermittent drizzle after the halfway break meant not ideal conditions for riding today, although six hardy souls participated. With the possibility of overnight ice, we avoided the Denchworth lanes and went to Hanney directly up the A338. In fact, road conditions were pretty good [for November] throughout the entire route. The leader managed a low-speed pratfall in Cumnor while trying to avoid a dithering motorist: no damage done. Java provided a cosy nook for refreshments, although Pam decided not to stop.
