Bit of a late report this - it seems ages since we had the last club ride :-(

The day started out pleasant enough - it's lovely to hit some new lanes and explore new areas. It was interesting to see the helicopter and tank collections at the gatehouse of the Army Air Corps at Middle Wallop.

White Hill at Pitton provided a decent test of winter legs, as did the climb out of Kings Somborne in the afternoon. The bonus loop at the end to take the ride up to 100km was felt by some to be rather gratuitous in the conditions.

The main feature of the day though was the heavy rain during the middle of the day, punctuated by a very nice lunch stop at the Kimbridge Cafe Barn, resplendent with pellet-burning stove to help us dry out a little.

Everyone agreed that this would be a great ride to repeat in (much) better weather conditions - well done everyone for retaining a sense of humour.
