Five of us set off in the dry, riding out through Challow and Fernham before a slightly dodgy crossing of the A420 caused by me missing the entrance to the cut-through on the other side. A refreshing light summer rain blessed us at this point so we paused to put on waterproofs. Riding on in tight formation we were soon at Blake's Kitchen in Clanfield enjoying the excellent cakes and coffee. The Guinness & chocolate cake seemed to go down especially well. If you like sourdough bread then this is the place for you. The rain mostly held off for the rest of the ride and we made good progress on the run back to Wantage despite the headwind.

Thus concludes the 2019-2020 cycling season.
