Five set out from Wantage on a muggy, cloudy morning. Once Court Hill was out of the way a good pace was maintained down to Great Shefford where a more relaxed approach took over. Shortly after Boxford Paul's tyre (another GP5000!) also decided to "relax", remedied efficiently by Chris, slightly delaying our rendezvous with Phil at Woodspeen. We tested out the Hermitage to Hampstead Norreys cycle path; rather unspectacular and which resulted in some dirty marks on Pete's beautiful new white bicycle. Some rather excellent savouries were consumed at the HN Community Cafe, before Phil headed home in the Yattendon direction and the rest of us tackled the ups and downs of the route back to Wantage against a Northerly breeze. Four of us enjoyed a post-ride drink in the convivial setting of the KAH beer garden.
