Well that was a welcome surprise!

The forecast said overcast: we had gentle November sunshine throughout.
The forecast said strong westerlies: they weren't wrong about that.
The route had over 1,000 metres of climbing: our legs know it.

The proposed itinerary included a bacon butty stop in Marlborough. But our resident bacon butty fiend, Peter, was absent so we skipped that for a delightful stop at the cafe in Avebury.

The one disappointment: the strong tailwind was absent when we really needed it climbing to the top of Dragon Hill. We still made it and the views were fantastic.
