A day of two halves. The ride out was in light rain but not uncomfortable (except for those with bare legs!) given the good pace we kept up. After an early lunch the weather had dried up so we all had a pleasant ride back, through the flatlands to Lechlade then up the escarpment to Coleshill and back through the vale. A very short wait for a table at the Gateway Cafe was rewarded by quick service and decent lunches.
Special mentions to:
- the new traffic-free section of (NCN45) cycleway North form Woodward's Bridge, very welcome after the busy road between Highworth and Blunsdon
- Rachel for beasting every climb, but regretting it at Badbury Clumps.
Thanks to everyone for a relaxing, sociable ride.
