Buscot Village Morning Ride

The day was cool and cloudy but quite still, so good conditions for riding. We made good progress out to Hatford where we caught up with a certain Mr Groves out on a solo ride. He looked a bit tired so we sent him packing and continued on our way. Buscot Village Tearoom proved a hit with an hospitable reception from the proprietor who was busy mackling together a bike rack from old scaffold poles as we arrived. The garden there is large (perfect for summer use) but the inside seating area is quite small so it was lucky that we had the place to ourselves as the eight of us half filled it. NOTE: it is closed on Mon. & Tue. The rest of the ride went smoothly and we effectively controlled the traffic on the A417 by riding in two tight groups of 2x2 about 100m apart. A quick beer in a chilly garden at the Fred's Head allowed us to continue the discussion of the theme of the day, cycle shoe design & function.
