What a beautiful day for a bike ride, crisp but sunny. Chain hill was climbed, derailleur issues were resolved and moody tree surgeons were ignored. A closed road, robustly guarded by said tree surgeons, between Kintbury and Hungerford forced a detour of a few km but this was on scenic backroad. Another closed road at Chilton Foliat was more politely patrolled and we were let through to enjoy a traffic free run down to the cafe at Ramsbury. Coffee was drunk, cake eaten and dogs petted before we headed back. Pints in the Fred's head garden were finished quickly as it was a bit chilly with the sun now hiding behind cloud.
