We pedalled in close formation with the exception of the ramp up to Buckland when we spread out a bit. Most of the adventure was packed into the roads near Bablock Hythe where we passed a slow moving ancient tractor and trailer, encountered a skittish horse, a jogger and several people walking their dogs.
Bacon butties at Bampton Coffee House were served quickly, though the combination of cleats and the floor surface resembled a skid pan. Back in Wantage it was just about warm enough for a quick drink in the garden at Alfie's.
