Just two hardy souls today on a ride of two halves. The ride to Chippy, and the ride back.

The first half started in beautiful style - clear blue skies, and the threatened wind wasn't apparent. The last 45 minutes of uphill drag into Chippy was a different game, plenty of head-on Northerly and icy wind, and the sun had all but gone. Brutal. A fry-up was the only way to make life good again.

Contrast to the return journey of rolling hills, the wind on our backs, and some sunshine was altogether more pleasant. WE did keep an eye on the skies for the light showers promised for 3pm, which were bang on time. Fortunately, bikes were stowed by this point and there was a rather smug feeling for having outrun the weather.
