A nice bright day after a Christmas of murky cloud, but the strong winds might have put one or two potential riders off. During the ride the winds caused no problems and alternating the lead into the wind allowed a good pace. The close formation took a hit at Charney Bassett when Louis received a message that his son had tested C19 positive - he then dropped back for the headwind sections, and forged ahead off the front for the tailwind sections. Needless to say the prospects of a post-ride drink evaporated! Still, it was an excellent ride and none of us seemed to be carrying too much Christmas ballast.
