Nice bright day for the three riders who set out from Wantage but that fresh Westerly wind soon made it's presence felt, particularly on the climb up Sincombe Hill, which took us a long time! We were fortunate to meet up with Chris at Lambourn as he had thought we were descending Sheepdrove rather than the main road. The roads up from Eastbury and down through Poughley were dry and mud-free and a suitable table for four was available upstairs at the Honesty Cafe.

After refreshments we took the B4001 up from Chilton Foliat and the B4000 down to Lambourn, where Chris left us to head home to work The rest of us made it back to Wantage via Sheepdrove for a well-earned pint in the KAH.
