The weather was better than the forecast led us to believe and we got all the way out to Faringdon before the first sign of rain. Even then it was only a short lived light drizzle, not enough to warrant a waterproof unless you were already wearing one. On turning north at Uffington we felt the effects of the gusty side wind when passing gaps in the hedges but nothing we couldn't handle. From Clanfield it didn't take us long to do the downwind leg to Aston Pottery for cakes & chat. After that the southward return leg required a bit more effort providing the excuse for several of us to recuperate with a pint in the KAH and watch through the window as the wind dropped and the sun came out
