Three riders set out from the market place to be joined by two more at various points along the way. The considerable tail wind allowed us to effortlessly climb Chain Hill and enjoy the rest of the ride to Hampstead Norreys. We were fussed over by the ladies of the community cafe, which was as good as always (praise be to the Christmas bread pudding). Leaving the cafe we bid farewell to the two freelancers who made their own ways home while the original three shrugged of the headwind on the way back to Wantage.
