Maybe it was the mixed forecast. Maybe it was the ride distance on a Tuesday. There were just three of us who set off from the Market Place in benign conditions.

The headwind along the spring line road was a bit of a challenge, more so for Nick after he chose to take the high road up Dragon Hill. We donned rain jackets at Bishopstone, but removed them after Shrivenham, The sunny southwesterly helped us to our lunch stop, the highly recommended munch @ log cabin in Southmoor.

We admired the lively cloudscapes after lunch and briefly caught the end of a shower in Didcot before Hagbourne Hill. We accumulated a bit of a queue of cars on the A417 between Hendred and the Ardington turn before the run in to Wantage.

Refreshments were taken in Alfie's sunny garden.
