Wednesday Ride: Sutton Courtenay/Cheese Shed

Coffee and flapjacks at the start were voted a success; so much so that additional flapjacks were packed for later. The roads were generally filthy after last night's rain, and particularly bad between Ipsden and Gallowstree Common - a good test for Pete's new gravel bike. The limited menu at The Cheese Shed meant toasted cheese sandwiches x4: they were good. Louis loaded up a musette of cheese for home consumption. We missed the only shower of the day while taking luncheon. Nick S went the fast way home after lunch, although a puncture delayed him. The rest of us enjoyed the descent of Sliding Hill between Cookley Green and Ewelme and then beefed it back to Sutton Courtenay. Kudos to Louis and Pete for riding from Wantage - and they got back before the rain.
