After a chilly start, about one hour in the sun came out and we relaxed into an easy paced ride enjoying our surroundings. The good karma radiating from us lead to several genial interactions; chatting with fellow roadmen at Fernham; dares from villagers to ride the ford at Shilton (challenge accepted); swapping baking tips with the cafe staff at Brize; condolences passed to the mourners in St Mary's churchyard; an audience with Lady Buckland out riding her e-bike to Charney Bassett.
