After yesterdays wash-out it was a relief that the weather today was so much better for the more important business of cycling. Chris caused quite a commotion with his brand-spanking-new and very smart bike. After admiring it we were soon rattling along to the coffee stop at The Wandering Kitchen Cafe at Dorchester lakes. This was the first time we have used this cafe and, although it was teaming with customers, service was still very efficient, the setting is nice and cakes were good. Impressed - mark for future use.

Arriving in Wallingford we were too early for the advertised Coronation concert in the castle grounds so we ate our Waitrose bought food in the somewhat subdued atmosphere of the market square and moved on. The day just got warmer and warmer and by the end we deserved that pint in the Alfie's Head at the finish.

Top day out - thanks everyone.
