With a cold northerly blowing, just three club members gathered under Alfie's statue in the Market Place. We were joined by Phil, who, having seen us pass through his home village of Letcombe, decided to try us out.

We rode the flat route together through the Vale, pausing to cross the A420 at Fyfield, and then along the Corallian Ridge to Cumnor, where we went down Tumbledown and on to Eynsham. Cherry Tree did us proud, outside but sheltered from the wind and cosseted with blankets. The return leg with a solid tailwind got a bit spread out as we made good progress and we were back at Alfies (the pub) by 13:30.

Welcome to Phil and thanks for the company.
