Sociable leisure rides for enthusiastic cyclists
Summer Tuesday – A Blue or Red grade social ride for five hours (70-90km) starting from Wantage and returning by 15:00. Will usually include a refreshment stop during the ride
A three hour ride, or thereabouts, plus a stop at Blakes in Coleshill.
Our route takes us out through the Letcombes before our first pass of the Ridgeway on our way to Lambourn. Our second pass of the Ridgeway is at Ashbury. We run through Shrivenham and go over the A420 to Friars Hill where we turn towards Coleshill.
Blakes at Coleshill is conveniently located part way up the hill - the cinnamon buns are highly recommended, but optional.
After the second part of the hill at Coleshill there is a brief downhill section leading to Badbury Hill. A brief detour at the top of the hill to admire the bluebells is recommended, but also optional.
The flat return journey takes us through Faringdon, Fernham, Gainfield and Lyford.
