Sociable leisure rides for enthusiastic cyclists
Summer Wednesday – Weekly evening ride from Wantage at Blue grade, which will complete before sunset. We will have a variety of paces and terrains across the summer season.
Flat 40k ride in the Vale.
Out along the spring line road to Fawler. Down past Uffington to Longcot. Hoping for a tailwind to Hatford and on back through Denchworth.
(Advisable to bring lights in case of delay.)
An all-day ride starting away from Wantage, so you'll need to either ride or drive out to the start point. The ride will be Blue or Red grade and include lunch and maybe other refreshment stops. The ride should finish by 17:00 (or 30 minutes before sunset during winter months).
Starting from Benson, free parking on St Helen's Avenue, this is a hilly figure of eight through the Chiltern Hills and presents a decent climbing challenge. Includes six respectable climbs where the usual regrouping at the top will take place. Lunch stop after 54km at Coffee on the Green, Stokenchurch. Probable late cake stop after 83km at The Spire & Spoke, Watlington at the foot of the last and most challenging climb (avoidance is possible if you bring a note from your mum).
8:16 pmAlong the Spring Line road to Bourton and then a detour around Shrivenham to pass the Gliding Centre before dropping back into Watchfield and on to Bloomfields for coffee.
Back via Baulking.
Tuesday Morning – A morning Blue grade social ride for three hours (50-60km) starting from Wantage and returning by 13:00. May include a refreshment stop during or after the ride.

Quite a lumpy ride, but plenty of awesome countryside to take in.
Start in Great Shefford, park on the east side of the road where the What3Words points to.
A lumpy morning ride to Hungerford via Lambourn for coffee at the Honesty cafe, taking a quick detour to Membury airfield on the way.
Back via Boxford and Chain Hill
Ride from Wantage Market Place at 11:00 or meet us by the shop in Uffington at around 12:00 for an al fresco scoff.
Be aware there are no public loos, but plenty of discreet nearby bushes
A morning ride starting from Wantage especially aimed at welcoming new riders to the club. The ride will be Blue grade and may include a refreshment stop en route or at the end of the ride. Expect to be back around 12:00.
A mostly familiar route with a few tweaks thrown in to maintain interest. Refreshments in Abingdon.
