1st September and all of a sudden the air temperature feels cooler, but not to worry, Court Hill never fails to warm you up, so wardrobe adjustments soon began with the removal of arm warmers. It turned out to be a fantastic, late summer day, perfect for quite a challenging (lumpy!) ride across the downs, suitably rewarded with the delights of The Pantry at Yattendon. There were a few lumps on the way home too, but a speedy cruise down Chain Hill, back to Wantage market square left everyone with a smile on their face.
