Great turn out of 11 riders including new member Sam Broadbank. Everyone was surprised how cold it was and some found more layers to put on. Made good progress through the Letcombes to Childrey and on to Stanford via Goosey where we discovered a strong headwind, David and Nick did some good work on the front up to Pusey. Once we turned eastwards to Appleton and Kingston Bagpuize then there plenty of volunteers to lead, just as well as my chain decided to come off just as we were leaving KB so the peleton had to wait for me to catch up at Fyfield. No more mechanicals meant that we were back in Wantage by 20:30 leaving plenty of time for refreshments at KAH.
