An excellent turnout on a bright but chilly morning. From what I overheard there was an even split between, overdressed, underdressed and just about right. Some well disciplined group riding was on display as we headed out north into the headwind. Folk seemed to enjoy the scenery with the Standlake tip singled out for special praise. Soon after passing the end of Brize Norton runway we arrived at the Humble Bumble cafe for takeaways. The cafe received several good reviews for good coffee and bacon etc although it was a bit chilly hanging about on the cricket pitch. From there a nice tailwind helped us back to Wantage just in time to finish before flurries of snow started.
