A surprisingly chilly start but we were all thoroughly warmed up by the time we got to the top of Courthill. A rolling route through Brightwalton and past Saddleback brought us to the top of Chain Hill. As ever, dropping down Chain with the sun's rays setting off to the west was a near religious experience.
