An overcast evening, with the weather forecast touch-and-go on the topic of rain.

it turned out to be pleasantly mild, with very little in the way of headwind climbing up Sparsholt Firs. The track through Sheepdrove was a pleasant as ever, and we did get a little wind assist right the way up to the top of Blowingstone.

Some spirited descending from Kingston Lisle and along to the A417 got everyone nicely warmed up, just in time for us to pass Larry going the other way.

A nasty "punishment pass" from a motorist by the Sainsbury's roundabout (the driver got so close, they nearly kerbed their nearside front wheel!) was an annoying end to the ride, but a quick stop for two of us at Alfie's was lovely and chilled. Thanks to Richard for being designated sweep.
