A lovely sunny evening for a ride. The challenge of Chain Hill was well met and the reward was a long steady downhill run for the next 20km through the English countryside down to Boxford. Turning north west into a headwind, some punchy riding at the front saw some breakaways establish and occasional regrouping became necessary. Back at Wantage we retired to the Fred's Head for a pint to round off a pleasant evening.
