Seven of us set off from the market place on a pleasant sunny summer evening.

We warmed up on the spring line road to Childrey before turning north to cross the vale. As we moved towards the Corallian Ridge the group stretched out a bit. So we tried to ride as a chain gang.

The conditions were ideal - flat road and little traffic. After a couple of efforts we got into the swing of it: two parallel lines drafting behind the leader.

When we got back to Wantage we all went to the pub.
