A last-minute rearrangement to miss the poor Hampshire weather... Hugo confirmed it was grim, as he was doing a 200km Audax down there.

The consensus was that it was pretty nippy at the start - even though there were a few bare knees on display. The tailwind was both welcome and helpful on the outward leg, and we kept a decent effort up, if not pace.

It was good to be back at Bampton Garden Plants for a refreshment stop - they've extended the seating are quite considerably, and created an outdoor patio area too.

The headwind struggle up Buckland Hill was rather less pleasant though - no records today! Between Hanney and Denchworth we got caught in a quick shower, which was light. The entertainment was provided by John G, who took the full duration of the shower to put his rain jacket on, flapping mischievously in the breeze.
