An overcast and very chilly start from Hanborough for the seven riders. Which was a bit of a surprise as most had left home in sunshine!

The ride started lumpy and didn't really let off for any length of time. We made good progress to Wyatt's Farm Shop for elevenses and the Sun started to come out as we sat outside on the new patio area.

A brief stop at the Rollright Stones shortly after restarting which were busy with visitors with accordian music playing too.

Tiny lanes took us towards Evenlode where the railway bridge was missing! So we had to divert north to Moreton-in-Marsh to cross the line. There is little choice then but to use the very busy Fosse Way to Stow-on-the-Wold which had a massive queue of cars and lorries, some careful filtering got us into town and out again as quickly as possible.

We had a brief tour of Lower Slaughter which was quite peaceful before the madness of Bourton-on-the-Water which was rammed full of cars and people. Again some careful filtering got us in and out as quickly as possible.

At Sherborne we stopped at the village store for sustenance, strangely they haven't set up their tables outside yet and were a bit paranoid that we were all going to give them COVID just by existing. Still, sandwiches, coffee and cake were available and we filled our boots.

Nick and Richard decided to head back as a pair and the remaining five picked our way back to Hanborough via Burford.

Well done Libby on her longest ever ride and thanks to everyone for coming out.

I would probably alter the route slightly if I rode it again to avoid a few less nice bits, but 95% of it was beautiful :)
