This was one of those days when the weather was deceptive:
- lovely, though weak, sunshine in the market;
- windy on the spring line road past the cricket ground;
- warming up on the northward leg from Childrey to Lyford;
- challenging headwind going west to Shrivenham;
- autumnal in Bloomfields' outside garden;
- delightful with the tailwind back to Wantage;
- warm sitting in the sheltered sunlit corner of Alfie's pub garden.

A very nice ride in good company.
