Six Corallian members made up the crew,
We cycled a route that many of us knew.
Through Letcombe and Ploughley we kept a good pace,
As always we knew this wasn’t a race.
We climbed up Combe Gibbet and stopped at the top,
Some photos were taken before we set off.
A road closed in Inkpen may have caused a delay,
But kind-hearted workmen unblocked the way.
The Honesty café provided our stop,
Although value for money it certainly was not.
When the ride leader took a trip to the loo,
The rest of the riders riders plotted a coup.
The route was adapted to avoid the A338,
Most definitely an improvement, she didn’t retaliate.
Just four enjoyed a drink at the King Alfred’s Head,
Until Louis left us to blow up an inflatable ……….
