Whilst some considered this evening’s rain to be a refreshment following yesterday’s searing heat, others were concerned with the condition of the roads after the downpour. The rain had more or less stopped by the time six of us left the Market Place. Puddles, potholes and rainfall-induced gravel had the potential to cause an incident, however it was a failure to unclip at a junction shortly after the start of the ride which stole the show (mentioning no names ).
