This was the second time of trying this route and fortunately 8 riders turned up, one expecting very wet weather, Chris was dressed in full weather gear! The ride started in a mix of sunny spells with a nice southerly tail wind to Bampton. We stopped at the Lynwood & Co Café and even though we had to sit outside the coffee was excellent and sausage rolls scored a 4 out of 4. While we sat outside, we were given the pleasure of a beautiful rainbow – were we going to avoid the threatened showers before getting back to Wantage.? Well, unfortunately not, as we approached Denchworth, the heavens opened. There was one person who was particularly pleased, the “man in black” – Chris, he was up for more when we eventually got back to Wantage. Everyone quickly headed home. Thanks to everyone for a very enjoyable ride despite the late rain.
