Morning Ride: Elevenses at Eynsham

A decent turnout, no doubt helped by the weather being quite a bit warmer and dryer than of late. A very helpful tailwind pushed us to Eynsham where we paused briefly to view the Cherry Tree cafe through locked gates. I had discovered last night that this is closed on Sundays (originally I had planned this route as a midweek ride) but thought it worth checking out in passing. It does look worthy of a visit in future. Farmoor Reservoir cafe provided an adequate substitute with the bonus of dramatic sailing action taking place just outside the windows. After that we climbed Tumbledown Hill Pogacar style and overcame the stiff headwind all the way home. A decent mornings work I thought.
