Despite the gloomy and slightly cooler weather there was a good turnout from the regular Tuesday riders. The ride out to the Humble Bumble Café in Brize Norton was uneventful. A table outside was secured, and refreshments taken as we watched a local “pensioners” football match. After all the excitement of the game we started the journey back to Wantage. When we turned off the Radcot Road up Thrupp Turn we hit a resurfaced road with a lot of gravel chippings, fortunately the climb up to Littleworth was not resurfaced so traction was not an issue. Everyone arrived back in Wantage safely after what was a good paced ride, so a light refreshment at King Alfred’s Head was called for.
