Heatwave over,
There was rain in the air.

Formation riding could not be faulted.
Average speed up,
Then the route got altered.

Coffee and flapjack at Mulberry and Thyme.
The heavens opened,
But we stayed dry.

Our exit was blocked as we made our departure,
Tinkering with buttons,
Hope that’s not on camera!

On the way back more rain was to come.
Jackets were donned,
It was refreshing for some.

A drink at King Alfred’s to finish the day.
