A hot day but a cooling breeze prevented any significant overheating. It was market day in both Wantage and Farringdon, so there was some market-stall and market-stallholder dodging to be done. We encountered preparations for an Oxfordshire Road Race event between Clanfield and Bampton but didn't see any racing. Bampton Garden Plants Cafe almost redeemed themselves with some swift service, although they forgot my coffee. Three-fifths of the ride had a cooling pint at KAH post-arrivee.
