For the first half of the ride conditions alternated between bright sunshine and fog, but after the coffee stop the sunshine won out and it got quite warm on the return leg. As per usual it was difficult to hold one group together along the spring-line road, so we did most of it as two distinct groups before coalescing at Kingston Lisle. We had a mysterious unplanned dismount on the road to Longcot but the landing was in soft grass and no harm was done. Rest of the ride was smooth, tight and well drilled. Faringdon Coffee House sorted us out with a warm welcome and nice cakes. Most of us stayed to enjoy a pint and more banter in the suntrap of the Alfie's Head afterwards.
