A good turnout for a sunny but cold Tuesday morning ride, we were joined again by Phil (Dunmore) a new addition to the club. We set off down Mill Street, when the ride leader realised, he had not started the route, so a quick stop rectified this, the rest of the group went on ahead with Pete taking the lead. We made our way out towards Kingston Bagpuize, the ride leader’s bike developed what was aptly described as a “budgie” sound, which continued all the way to the Aston Pottery – sorry to everyone. It was quickly sorted out, by moving the cadence sensor on the left crank further up to avoid it rubbing against the cycling shoe. Most the group got into the Christmas spirit by having a mince pie. The ride home through Bampton, Buckland, Charney Bassett and Denchworth was quieter, uneventful, and relatively quick. There was not much appetite for a cold beer at KAH so everyone went home for a warm shower.
